About the course
The purpose of the course is to give students a deeper understanding of the complexities around the onset, development and resolution of armed conflict. The aim is furthermore to provide an introduction to methodological issues in peace and conflict research and practice the skill of conducting independent analyses of both empirical material and scholarly works. The course consists of three modules: Causes of Armed Conflict, 7.5 credits; Conflict Resolution, 7.5 credits; Methods and Thesis Writing,15 credits.
Lectures are held in English, but seminars and written assignments can be carried out in either Swedish or English.
