About the course

In this course, we will look at current theories in the study of visual culture and the emerging field of critical heritage studies. This course draws particular attention to the ways in which identity, location, globalisation and cultural heritage are visualised, not only in traditional visual arts, but also in cultural sites, cultural institutions, landscapes, archives, and visual media.
