About the course
This course explores advanced techniques for automatically generating stories that meet human expectations for credibility, coherence, and engagement. We will consider character simulations, plot-generators, and drama managers. Emphasis will be placed on themes that address human psychological needs. You will build several prototype games that tell stories, and participate through playtesting, critique, reflection, and discussion.
