Aim: To identify and address gaps in GastroPlus®, GI-Sim, and Simcyp® software packages for predicting colon absorption and extended-release formulations, and to enhance the colon model in GI-Sim.
Outcome: To incorporate physiologically relevant parameters to refine prediction methodologies, aiming to improve the accuracy and reliability of these software tools in biopharmaceutics modeling.
