Infrastructure
We operate four particle accelerators delivering ions to eleven endstations with many different analytical techniques. Smaller instruments provide further possibilities for sample preparation, analysis and material growth.
Radiocarbon dating
We use accelerator mass spectrometry to perform highly precise and ultra-sensitive dating on very small samples with diverse applications in for example archaeology, geology, glaciology and medicine.
Materials research
Our expertise within ion beam induced modification of materials and non-destructive characterisation of material composition and structure contributes to fundamental research and industrial applications in a wide range of fields.
