UAC Research Community

Are you a postdoc, researcher, or academic faculty (assistant, associate or full professor) and want to be part of a cross-disciplinary community working on antibiotics, resistance, and better use of antimicrobials? This is your space!

Why join?

  • Build your network. Through meetings, workshops, and shared projects, you will meet other researchers interested in antibiotics and resistance. These links often lead to new co-authorships, grant applications, and long-term partnership.
  • Work across fields. The center connects experts from biology, chemistry, social sciences, human & veterinary medicine, and more. As a senior member, you can explore ideas outside your own research area and form collaborations that would not happen within a single department.
  • Move projects forward. The center provides a structure and network to turn ideas into real work. You can initiate small pilots, write joint proposals, or use the collaboration to strengthen ongoing projects.
  • Raise your profile. Members are featured in the center’s communications, news, and events. You will have opportunities to speak in seminars, present ongoing work, and connect with visiting researchers and stakeholders.
  • Get practical support. The center assists with introductions, matchmaking, and logistics for collaborative activities. We help you identify potential partners and arrange venues, scheduling, or lab access for visits and events.

Benefits of Joining

  • Access to all center external and internal activities and events, where both junior and senior researchers share perspectives.
  • Invitations to focused sessions tailored to the specific needs of our members to drive forward their research.
  • A public profile on the center’s website highlighting your research areas, current projects, and interests.
  • Opportunity for funding to host a visiting collaborator for a short stay.

Who can join

  • Assistant, associate, and full professors from any faculty.
  • Senior researchers and group leaders.
  • Postdoctoral researchers with independent projects and/or supervision responsibilities.

Membership is open to anyone at Uppsala University, SLU or SVA whose research can contribute to understanding, preventing, or managing antimicrobial resistance from any angle — scientific, technical, social, or policy-related, among others.
