Short presentation
Erik Noreen is a senior lecturer at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, Uppsala University. His research interests are foreign policy analysis, international security studies and discourse analysis. He is currently coordinator of the BA program in Peace and Development Studies and teaches methods at the MA level.
Biography
Erik Noreen is a senior lecturer at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, Uppsala University. He was previously head of the department (2006-2011) and among other things a member of the board of the social science faculty at Uppsala University (2003-2009). His research interests are foreign policy analysis, international security studies and discourse analysis. He is currently coordinator of the BA program in Peace and Development Studies and teaches methods at the MA level. He was appointed “Excellent teacher” at Uppsala University in 2014.

Main current research
Organizational culture, norms and modern warfare
The project aims to examine the relationship between organizational culture, norms and modern warfare, with particular reference to troop contributing states within the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan.
