Development of a new geochemical reactor
Peter Lazor has been awarded funding from Uppsala Innovation Centre to build a prototype and patent a novel high-pressure vessel. Featuring a unique symmetry-adapted design, the new device offers notable improvements in construction material flexibility, optical access for in-situ analysis, and pressure handling capabilities. When used as a geochemical reactor, it will enable studies of mineral-fluid interactions under supercritical conditions and deep-sea hydrothermal vent biogeochemistry.
