Master's Programme in Earth Science – Hydrology/Hydrogeology 120 credits
In the Master's Programme in Earth Sciences with a specialisation in Hydrology/Hydrogeology, you will study processes such as runoff, groundwater recharge and flow. You will learn how to use our water resources and gain an insight into the relationship between humanity and the Earth's water resources.
Master's Programme in Earth Science – Physical Geography 120 credits
In physical geography, you study the Earth's processes that change and shape the Earth's surface over time through interactions with climate and the environment.
Master's Programme in Earth Science – Palaeobiology 120 credits
Are you interested in what life on Earth was like millions of years ago? Do you want to understand how life has evolved and been affected by the Earth's chemical and physical changes?
Master's Programme in Physics – Geophysics 120 credits
How does the Earth work and how do we understand the processes that shape our planet? In geophysics, we use tools and methods from physics to study the Earth.
Master's Programme in Physics – Meteorology and Climate Physics 120 credits
Are you interested in weather, forecasting, climate and climate change? Then this programme is the right choice for you.
Master's Programme in Sustainable Development 120 credits
Do you want to gain the knowledge and skills needed to tackle complex sustainable development challenges?
Master's Programme in Water Engineering 120 credits
Access to clean water is a fundamental requirement for modern society, and the water engineer plays a central role in the distribution, storage and treatment of water.
Master's Programme in Wind Power Project Management 60 credits
This one-year Master's programme in Wind Energy Engineering is interdisciplinary and open to natural scientists, social scientists and technologists.
Master's Programme in Wind Power Project Management 120 credits
The two-year programme lays the foundation for a career in the global wind energy industry or for postgraduate studies.
Joint Master Programmes
These Joint Master Programmes are offered in cooperation with different universities in Europe. Apply directly on the respective websites. The programmes are offered in English.
- SinReM, Sustainable and Innovative Natural Resource Management
- PANGEA (choose one of the three specialized fields of Earth Sciences: Palaeobiology, Geoconservation and Applied Palaeontology).
Freestandiung courses
How did the Earth evolve and what was the evolution of life like from the very beginning 4 600 million years ago? Learn about the Earth's processes that continue to influence and shape our living environment today: mountain building, volcanoes and earthquakes, our climate and climate change, the water cycle and landscape evolution.
