European Politics
The Uppsala European politics working group brings together researchers with a shared interest in European politics defined broadly, including topics directly related to the European Union (EU).
The field encompasses comparative studies of a broad range of topics across European countries, covering issues such as migration, climate change, democracy, national parliaments, European political parties. It also covers research on the political dynamics, institutional developments, and policy dimensions of the EU, including the study of the EU’s role as an external actor and the international relations of the EU.
The working group convenes once a term for a half-day workshop with the aim of presenting and discussing ongoing research. Closely attached to the Swedish Network for European Studies in Political Science (SNES), the group participates in the network’s recurring activities, including the annual conference, the Ph.D. student network, and the standing working group at SWEPSA.
