Who cares about web tracking and mass surveillance? We've got nothing to hide, right?

This week we will watch and discuss the 2017 documentary "Nothing to Hide" by the French-German DeepDocs collective. The film addresses the issue of mass surveillance and its acceptance by the population. In the film, a voluntary experiment is conducted on Mister X, a young actor living in Berlin. With his consent, metadata from his computer and smartphone is collected over a month using spyware, then analysed by researchers. The documentary also shines a light on the recurring abuses of states that resort to mass surveillance.
