Research Project
Research into bioceramics that bond tissue, biomaterials and medical devices and novel methods of fabrication and delivery
The discovery and definition of:
- Biomimetic biomaterials that mimic biology and harmonise with normal tissue repair processes and healing
- Tissue adhesives (both hard and soft tissues) that can augment the repair of tissues at surgery
- Novel implant fixation technologies that reduce the risk of implant loosening and migration in patients
Research Themes
The Biomedical Engineering Division's research is consolidated under four key research themes; precision medicine, sustainability, antimicrobial resistance and data driven life science. My research is focused on precision medicine.
