Collaboration at Department of Materials Science and Engineering
Collaboration with our society is one of our most important missions and is crucial to our success. By meeting people with different skills, experience and background, we create new innovations.
Collaboration drives progress
We like to collaborate with external actors to maximise societal benefits by welcoming new perspectives and questions. By working with us, you get access to theoretical knowledge, engineering thinking, innovative solutions and customised facilities. Our researchers are skilled project managers and partners.
Thanks to good collaboration with industry, many of our research discoveries have become spin-offs that are now run as their own companies.
We encourage academia, industry, society, schools and the public to benefit from our research and knowledge.

Research partnerships and Research centres
When our research meets people with different skills, experience and background, new knowledge and innovations can emerge.
Spin-offs
Our research has not only resulted in academic success, but it has also resulted in several spin-off companies.
Study visit
We accept study visits and give popular science lectures aimed mainly at students in their final year of secondary school but also at interested members of the public. If possible, we also offer guided tours of our laboratories.
The visits are arranged through the Faculty of Science and Technology, which will put together a programme that suits you based on the opportunities that can be offered on the day you want to visit us.
