Study visit

Teachers – let your pupils experience research and education at the Faculty of Science and Technology!

Come and get inspired by all of the opportunities we have to offer. Get information about our range of courses and meet students currently studying on our programmes.

Our researchers give popular science lectures suitable for pupils in their final year of secondary education. Where possible, we also offer guided tours of campus. We put together a programme that suits you based on the options on offer on the day you want to visit.

Purpose of the study visit

A study visit gives pupils the chance to get inspired by current research and education in the fields of technology and science. Seeing themselves in the campus environment and getting to meet students gives the pupils a sense of confidence in their future study choices, and hopefully a feeling that “I can thrive here”.

As a teacher, you can request a subject for a research lecture connected to your current teaching. The visit will create the opportunity for you to follow up the research presented by discussing the subject’s significance for individuals and society. Pupils can discuss in class aspects such as the societal impact of the research, its significance in terms of sustainable development or ethical aspects of research.

The Faculty of Science and Technology has a large range of activities targeting secondary schools:
