“It is an honor to receive the Per Manell Award, and I want to express my gratitude to Associate Professor Yumeng Mao who welcomed me in his group and PhD Student Marta Rúbies Bedós for guiding me through the research project,” says Burak Taner, who wins a study trip to Brussels and industry organization European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations.
The Per Manell Award is, in addition to providing important inspiration to Uppsala's pharmacy students, an important factor for the strong ties between the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Alumni Association Farmis. On site at the Project Symposium to present the Award on behalf of the Alumni Association was Martin Belin, who also presented well-deserved honorable mentions to students Tilda Bergfast and Julia Lidar.
“It is truly a privilege to present the Per Manell Award, and it is equally gratifying to state that the degree projects seem to be of increasingly high quality each semester. The regrowth of talented pharmacists is indeed strong,” states Martin Belin, Market Access at Abbvie.
For the students of the Master of Science Programme in Pharmacy, a semester of Work placement training awaits before returning to Uppsala and the Faculty of Pharmacy's graduation ceremony in the university Main auditorium.
