Trondheim-Uppsala

Collaboration in education and clinical practice

The medical faculties at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and Uppsala University have much in common and have been exchanging valuable experiences for many years. The collaboration has covered, for example, the structure of the Medicine Programme, the introduction of clinical training units at the university hospitals, the establishment of Clinical Academic Groups (CAGs), degree projects, and the development of pedagogical academies.

The purpose is to enable student exchanges, virtual education collaborations, and to exchange experiences on quality and external developments. The aim is to visit each other every other year, to facilitate collaboration between teachers and to enable administrative staff to exchange experiences as well.

There is a memorandum of understanding between the faculties that defines the intention to collaborate on educational matters. The vice-deans of the respective faculties serve as signatories to the memorandum.
