Guided tours

If you are interested in visiting Gustavianum in a group or you would like to book a guided tour, this page is for you. We recommend that you book your guided tour at least one week in advance.

Public Tours

Our public tours last about 30 minutes.

Tours are included in the admission ticket and no advance booking is required for groups of up to 10 people.

Please note that tours may be cancelled on special program days and/or during events.

September 1 – May 31
Tours are offered on Saturdays and Sundays:

• 1 PM in English
• 3 PM in Swedish

Lunchtime Tours
Every Wednesday, 12:30–1:00 PM

June 1 – August 31
Tours are offered daily:

• 11:15 AM and 1 PM in English
• 3 PM in Swedish

Private Tours

A private tour lasts about 60 minutes.

The tour guides are experienced museum educators or students at Uppsala University. To help you get the most out of your visit, we have put together suggestions for themes for guided tours.

Themes for guided tours

Tuesday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM: SEK 1000/guide/hour (admission fee per participant applies).

Outside regular opening hours and on weekends: SEK 2500/guide/hour (admission fee per participant applies).

When booking a private tour at Gustavianum, you pay both the tour fee and a reduced admission fee.

Groups of 10 people or more are entitled to a reduced admission fee even without booking a tour. We kindly ask that you register your visit in advance, preferably one week ahead. This helps us avoid overcrowding in the exhibition halls.

Number of participants

The maximum number of people per booked tour is 30. This is to ensure that you all have the best experience.

Cancellations

A booked guided tour must be cancelled at least 48 hours before the planned visit. Otherwise, the full tour fee will be charged.
