Hire Gustavianum

Gustavianum is available for hire outside regular opening hours. The Museum features five exhibitions which include the Anatomical Theatre and the Art Cabinet from Augsburg. In the staircase hall, Food and drink can be served in the stairwell hall for cocktail events only, as there are no seating options. Gustavianum (including its five exhibition spaces) can accommodate a total of 400 people. Auditorium Minus can also be hired outside opening hours for lectures and events, offering seating for 40 people and 10 extra seats on the platform.

Not part of Gustavianum premises can be hired on Mondays.

Access to the venues

The venues are only accessible during the booked period. The delivery, set-up, and clean up after catering must always be completed within the booked period. We charge per started hour, meaning that if the client uses the venues beyond the booked time, an additional cost will be incurred for each hour that starts.

Cancellations

For cancellations 15-30 days before the booked date, half of the venue hire will be charged. For cancellations 0-14 days before the booked date, the entire venue hire will be charged.

Food and drink

All drinks and refreshments provided in Gustavianum must be ordered through Uppsala University’s contracted catering firms.

As the organiser, you are responsible for contacting the catering firm. Please note that it is not permitted to provide your own refreshments or hire a catering company other than those procured by the University.

Refreshments may only be served in the stairwell hall. Due to the culturally sensitive nature of the venues, there are certain limits on what can be consumed and served. It is not permitted to serve red wine and other beverages that may stain the floor if spilled.

Guided Tours

Why not book a guided tour in conjunction with your event at Gustavianum? A guided tour must be booked at least one week in advance.

Hire of Auditorium Minus:

Weekdays, except Mondays, 9:00–11:00 SEK 2,500 for two hours

Weekday evenings after 17:00 SEK 2,500 per hour

Hire of Gustavianum, 2 hours, outside regular opening hours SEK 5,000
