Image requests
Gustavianum works continuously to make images of our collections available. As a work in progress, some images have not yet been published, but new photographs can be ordered.
Alvin
Alvin is a platform for making digitized collections and digital cultural heritage material available. Some of Gustavianum's collections are published and searchable in Alvin. Downloadable images can be freely used for both scientific and commercial purposes.
Press photos on Uppsala University's website
Press images of buildings, selected objects or activities are available for free download for journalistic purposes in articles relating to Uppsala University.
Gustavianum, Uppsala University Museum must always be mentioned when publishing, as well as the photographer's name when that information is available. Published images may be cropped but not manipulated.
Uppsala University's image bank available for employees at Uppsala University
All images in the university's image bank are free to use as long as Uppsala University is the orginator of the product where the image is used. Log in with your userID@user.uu.se and password

For orders of images that are not available for free download, contact the respective collection.

The following prices apply when ordering:
- Existing images: SEK 500 excl. VAT per image
- New photoshoots: SEK 2,000 excl. VAT per image
When ordering images, Gustavianum needs the following information for invoicing:
- Name person/company
- Social security number/org.nr
- Invoice address and ref.
