The project examined the consequences of the rapid transition from campus-based to digital teaching and assessment at Swedish universities and university colleges during the pandemic. The focus was on students’ performance, the quality of education, and issues related to legal certainty and academic integrity.
The project consisted of a qualitative analysis of experiences from the pandemic. Through interviews with students, teachers, educational developers, IT managers, and the disciplinary board, it highlighted experiences and challenges related to digital assessment, with a particular focus on quality and legal certainty.
The project contributed knowledge about how digital teaching and assessment affect higher education and what lessons can be drawn for future development. The final output was the report Covid-19 and universities: Teachers’ and students’ experiences (link below).
