Support and advice on research communication

You can communicate in a variety of different ways:

  • Via the media – such as newspapers, radio and television.
  • By building your own platform or appearing on other people’s platforms such as blogs, podcasts or social media accounts.
  • By being available as an expert and answering questions from decision-makers, organisations and businesses. Make sure you have a good profile page that describes you and your research well. It’s a good idea to include a short description of your research project that is suitable for the general public on your webpage, or the research group’s or department’s webpage.

Important starting points

  • Purpose: What do you want to achieve?
  • Target group: Who do you want to reach?
  • Resources: How much time and what skills do you have for this?
