Idea Exploration Programme
Do you have an idea you’d like to explore? It could be an early thought about a solution to a problem, a new service, a product, a digital tool, or even the start of something bigger. The Idea Exploration Programme at UU Innovation helps you take your idea from a first spark to a clearer direction.
The programme is open to all students and researchers who want to explore and develop ideas at an early stage. No previous experience is needed.

The Idea Exploration Programme is a short, inspiring introduction to idea development. You’ll gain structure, tools, and new perspectives – and become part of a supportive environment where ideas take shape and move forward.

How it works
The programme consists of three breakfast seminars over three weeks. Each session combines practical exercises, short introductions, and discussion:
- Structure your idea
You are introduced to the NABC framework (Need, Approach, Benefit, Competition) and begin shaping your idea into a clear and communicable concept. - Take your first steps
You define a direction for your idea and identify concrete next steps. - Next steps and opportunities
You refine your direction, draw inspiration from others’ journeys, and explore how to move forward with the right support from UU Innovation.
Join the programme this autumn!
In the autumn of 2026, we will run two rounds of the Idea Exploration Programme. Each round consists of three breakfast sessions over the course of three weeks.
- First round: 16, 23, 30 September
- Second round: 4, 11, 18 November
All sessions run from 08:30–10:00. Breakfast will be served from 08:15.
Location: The Segerstedt Building (restaurant area), Dag Hammarskjölds väg 7.

After application, one of UU Innovation's advisors will contact you to discuss the idea you would like to develop. We welcome your application!
