Summer FAQ

We respond to emails throughout the summer, but our office will be closed from 20 to 31 July. During this period, emails will not be read or answered. If your query is not answered by the information below, we will respond as soon as possible after we reopen.

Many frequently asked questions are answered below.

Conditionally admitted to a course

If you have been admitted with conditions, it means that you did not meet the course entry requirements at the time of application. The Department of Mathematics will remove the condition as soon as you meet the course requirements.

In some cases, the course may begin before the results of your supplementary examinations have been reported. If so, registration may, in certain cases, take place after the start of the course.

If you have questions about registration for a mathematics course, please contact the Department of Mathematics Course Administration:

studexp@math.uu.se

Please include your name, personal identity number, course name and course code.

Re-registration

If you have previously been registered on a course but did not complete it, you may apply for re-registration. This does not apply to teaching practice (VFU) or degree projects, for which you should instead contact the Study Guidance Office.

Re-registration gives you access to the latest course instance in Studium.

To request re-registration, please email the Course Administration:

studexp@math.uu.se

Please include your name and personal identity number in the email, and write the course name and course code in the subject line.

Examinations and resit examinations in August

Registration in Ladok is required for all written examinations held in an examination hall, including ordinary examinations and quizzes. The registration deadline is 12 days before the examination date. It is not possible to register at the examination venue.

The common resit examination period in August 2026 is 17–29 August.
