About the course
What is the origin of music? When do our musical abilities develop? Can musical abilities be measured, and, if so, how? Can music psychology contribute to enhancing our music teaching? This continuation course offers an in-depth discussion of two areas within music psychology with special relevance for learning and teaching music - musical development and musical ability. With these areas as a starting point, the course also offers an extensive overview with respect to various applications for musicians and teachers. The teaching consists of lectures featuring demonstrations and discussions.
The course has five meetings across the semester.
