About the course
Do you want to explore how heritage destinations might become socially and culturally sustainable? In this course, we focus on tourism to heritage destinations and examine how a destination is constructed through the use of narratives, images and imaginaries, enactment and placemaking. We study how this has been done in different parts of the world earlier and reflect on how we might do it in more sustainable ways in the future. The course includes collaboration with local stakeholders, primarily on Gotland.
