About the course
In this course you will delve into test and assessment questions related to the subjects Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language in secondary and upper-secondary school. The course is designed with particular focus on test construction and assessment in regards to the national tests in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language, but classroom assessment in education outside of the national tests will also be a part of the course. Assessment of oral, reading and writing skills are important parts of the course, as well as assessment theory about validity and reliability, justice and sustainability. Theory will be linked to practice by analyzing authentic tests from one of the Swedish subjects.
Co-workers from the group that creates the national tests in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language will teach the course, and you will get hands-on experience of trying assessment methods that are used in developing the national tests. The course is examined through active participation in seminars and assignments.
The course is for those who have an education in teaching Swedish or Swedish as a Second Language.
