The course is an optional course and can be taken on advanced level.

Entry requirements

To be accepted to the course there is a requirement of at least three semesters of studies in Educational Sciences , 90 ECTS credits, or three years of studies in a Teacher Training Programme.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course the student will have the knowledge to:

  • analyse and valuate models for planning and evaluation of higher education in a comparative perspective
  • Content

  • Effects of cultural and geographical differences
  • The relation between higher education and labour market
  • Effects of adult education in formal schooling and training in public and private organisations
  • The course will include a comparative analysis of higher educational systems
  • Instruction

    The instruction consists of lectures, seminars, group exercises and tutoring.

    Assessment

    Written paper. Grades are awarded according the scale passed with distinction, passed or failed and according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
