Examinatory seminars with compulsory attendance. Exceptions can be made for two seminars. Substitution by submission of a special written assignment for non-attendance at more than two seminars is not accepted. In addition, the student submits a written in-depth assignment (PM) on the entire novel. The essay can have a literary or linguistic focus and covers 10-15 pages. The standard of the essay must be such that it can be ventilated in a seminar.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the University's disability coordinator.
