Learning outcomes
On completion of the course students should be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge and understanding of different methodological and theoretical perspectives on research of children's geographies and identity-work in educational contexts
- describe, explain and analyse children's geographies and identity-work in different educational contexts
Content
Within the course different aspects are treated:
- children's everyday life in educational settings
- children's agency within and representation of different places
- identity and identity-work
Instruction
The instruction consists of lectures, seminars and tutoring.
Assessment
Written and oral examination.
If there are special reasons, the examiner may make exceptions from the specified examination method and allow a student to be examined in another way. Special reasons can e.g. be information about pedagogical support from the university's coordinators for students with disabilities.
