Entry requirements

120 credits in science/engineering, including 30 credits in electrical engineering. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.

Learning outcomes

After passing the course, the student should be able to:

  • describe in detail the construction, function and use of sensor systems in electrical vehicles,
  • describe in detail the different parts of a sensor system and explain how sensors, control systems, measurement systems, and drive lines integrate,
  • model, design and test sensor systems or parts of sensor systems,
  • independently collect information and in group analyze how sensor systems can affect the development towards a sustainble society.

Content

Introduction to sensors for electric vehicles. Different types of sensor systems in electric vehicles, including measurement and control systems. Programming and simulations of sensor systems. Impact of sensor systems in sustainable development. Practical applications of sensor systems in electric vehicles.

Written exam and laborations.

If there are special reasons for doing so, the examiner may make exceptions from the specified examination method of assessment and allow a student to be assessed by another method.
