Uppsala University’s Campaign Committee
Uppsala University has appointed an external Campaign Committee to support work on the special jubilee campaign “Boundless knowledge”. It consists of people with experience from leading roles in business, organisations and the broader community.
Through their own contributions and by inspiring others to advocate for Uppsala University, they are helping to expand the University’s networks and inspire more people to contribute to the University’s research, education, innovation, culture and cultural heritage.

Per Uhlén, Chair
Managing Director and member of the board of Aktinova Företagsutveckling AB. Previously Managing Director and CEO of Anders Diös AB, Deputy Managing Director of Skanska Sverige AB and Managing Director and CEO of Diligentia AB. Former Chair of the Board of Gammadata Instrument AB, Bonnier Fastigheter and Uppsala University Holding AB. One of the founders of Uppsala University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award in 2021. Master of Science in Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Master of Science in Business and Economics from Stockholm University.
Ralph Axelson
Entrepreneur and business developer now mostly active in property and maritime investments. Founded Seat 24 in 2000 – a pioneer in online flight booking in Sweden that later became part of Etraveli, which he co-founded. Left Etraveli in 2014 to focus on Gotlandsbåten AB, where he started operations in the summer of 2016 via his own shipping company before leasing the ship to Viking Line, among others. One of the founders of Uppsala University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award in 2021.
Elisabeth Dahlin
Vice-Chair of the University Board of Uppsala University and Chair of the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund. Former Ombudsman for Children in Sweden, and Secretary-General for Save the Children (Sweden). Has worked for the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Sweden and abroad. Degree in political science at Uppsala University, followed by further studies at Stockholm University and Hanoi Polytechnic University.
Henrik Didner
Co-founder of the fund management firm Didner & Gerge Fonder AB. Chair of the Board of Uppsala University Invest AB. Doctorate in business administration from Uppsala University.
Wenche Rolfsen
Drug developer with many years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry in senior operational positions at Pharmacia and Quintiles Transnational. Board memberships and investor expertise through health fund partnerships. Previous board memberships include roles as chair at BioArctic AB, Index Pharma, Sarsia Seed and director at Recipharm, Industrifonden, Aker BioMarine and SOBI. Partner in Serendipity Partners, a Norwegian fund for investments in the health sector. Master of Science in Pharmacy and PhD in Pharmacology from Uppsala University. Docent at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Uppsala University, and formerly adjunct professor at the faculty.
Arne Skoglund
Former partner in the property company Masmästaren. Has run Arne Skoglund Fastigheter AB in Uppsala since 1999, specialising in property ownership and management, consultancy and agriculture and forestry. Board member of companies and organisations in the Uppsala region, including Chair of Uppsala Citysamverkan AB. Honorary member of Uplands nation since 2013. One of the founders of Uppsala University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award.
Mikael Smedeby
Partner and former CEO of Lindahl law firm. Chair of Uppsala University Foundations Management of Estates and Funds (Uppsala Akademiförvaltning), Coeli Holding AB, and Sallén Elektriska AB. Board member of BioArctic AB, Rarity Biosciences and Sirius Football. Master of Laws degree from Uppsala University.
