Anders Hagfeldt är rektor vid Uppsala universitet sedan 2021 och professor i fysikalisk kemi. Han doktorerade vid Uppsala universitet 1993. Hans forskning har fokuserat på Grätzelsolceller, perovskitsolceller och solbränslen. Han har publicerat mer än 560 vetenskapliga artiklar som har citerats mer än 94 000 gånger. 2014-2020 var Anders Hagfeldt verksam som professor vid École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Han har tidigare varit prefekt och dekan inom kemi vid Uppsala universitet.
Biografi
Anders Hagfeldt är rektor vid Uppsala universitet sedan 2021 och professor i fysikalisk kemi. Han doktorerade vid Uppsala universitet 1993 och arbetade som postdoktor hos professor Michael Grätzel 1993–1994 vid EPFL, Schweiz.
Hans forskning har fokuserat på Grätzelsolceller, perovskitsolceller och solbränslen. Hans forskning inkluderar fysikalisk-kemiska angreppssätt för förståelsen av elektriska egenskaper och dynamik hos material, gränssnitt och solceller, materialvetenskap och utveckling av solceller, och utveckling av skalbara tillverkningsmetoder. Inom Grätzelsolceller gjorde hans forskargrupp genombrottet att kombinera organiska färgämnen och organometalliska redox-komplex, vilket nu används i solceller med världsledande verkningsgrad. Hagfeldt och Grätzel-laboratorierna satte år 2015 världsrekord för perovskitsolceller med 21,0 procents verkningsgrad genom att optimera sammansättningen av perovskitmaterialen. Denna metod är i absolut framkant och ger de bäst presterande perovskitskolcellerna, och används nu av nästan alla perovskitsolcellsgrupper i världen. Han introducerade också högeffektiva plana perovskitsolceller som används i de senaste rekordsättande solcellerna.
Anders Hagfeldt har tidigare varit prefekt och dekan inom kemi vid Uppsala universitet. Vid EPFL var han Sektionssdirektör för utbildning inom kemi och kemiteknik, medlem i enhetens styrelse, styrelseledamot vid EPFL Energy Center och medlem i styrelsen för akademisk utvärdering.
2013–2019 var han ordförande för Vetenskapsrådets kommitté för utvecklingsforskning.
Han är medgrundare och styrelseledamot i företaget Dyenamo AB.
Han har publicerat mer än 560 vetenskapliga artiklar som har citerats mer än 94 000 gånger, med ett h-index av 142 (Google Scholar). Han rankas som nummer 46 på listan över världens 100 främsta materialforskare under det sista årtiondet av Times Higher Education. 2014–2020 var han på Thomson Reuters lista Highly Cited Researchers. Han är medlem av European Academy of Sciences, Kungliga Vetenskapsakademien (Stockholm), Kungliga Vetenskaps-Societeten (Uppsala), och Kungl. Ingenjörsvetenskapsakademien (Stockholm). Han har också tilldelats ett hedersdoktorat vid Université Paris Diderot, Frankrike och är Professor Honoraire vid EPFL, Schweiz.
