Mitt avhandlingsprojekt undersöker hur invånare i en rural och industriell ort i Mellansverige hanterar den sociala oro som uppstår i en tid av globala kriser, nationella diskurser kring otrygghet och en försvagning av statlig och kommersiell service lokalt. Jag är intresserad av vilka sociala grupperingar och nätverk som blir viktiga för att skapa en känsla av tillhörighet och trygghet.
