My dissertation examines the cultural and moral obligations of filial care in families separated by migration. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, it explores how transnational intergenerational relationships shape the care older people receive from younger relatives, and how cultural values and caregiving expectations are negotiated within migrant families across borders.
