Luke Odell

Luke Odell was born in Tamworth, Australia in 1981. He graduated with an Honours BSc. in Forensic Science from the University of Newcastle, Australia in 2002. He completed his PhD studies at the same university under the guidance of Professor Adam McCluskey in 2006 working on the synthesis of enzyme inhibitors. In 2006, he took up a postdoctoral position with Professor Mats Larhed at Uppsala University. In 2016 he was appointed as a Senior Lecturer and was promoted to Full Professor in 2022. His research interests include molecular imaging, heterocyclic chemistry, PET chemistry and medicinal chemistry.
