Call for papers
Abstracts for paper presentations are invited on the following themes:

- Religion, gender and sexuality
- Religion and racism, discrimination, segregation

- Religion, disaster and crisis
- Existence and Environment
- Religion and violence, terror and the security state
- Family, Faith and Nation
- Academia in a polarized society
- Religious heritage and memory politics
- Faith based organisations as welfare providers, civil society, social capital
- Existential resilience, health and well-being
- and other related themes….
Comparative papers are particularly welcome. Theoretical, methodological and substantive issues will be given equal consideration
The conference welcomes session proposals from those who wish to organize closed or open sessions. Submission for session proposals will open: 30 September 2026. Deadline: 30 October 2026.
Further thematic sessions will also be developed as submitted abstracts arrive and formats other than traditional paper presentations are welcomed. The conference language is English.
Abstract Submission will open: 30 November 2026. Deadline for the submission of abstracts (max 200 words): 31 January 2027.
