Humanities Theatre
The Humanities Theatre has 137 seats and is equipped with the very latest technology. Apart from the theatre itself, the building also has conference rooms and other social spaces. A place for all kinds of events.
Linneanum
Linneanum in the Botanical Gardens and the Orangery in the Linnaeus Garden are unique and ideal places for weddings, special family events and company events.
Campuses at Uppsala University
There are eleven campus areas at Uppsala University, with research and education in a broad spectrum of subjects.
Blåsenhus
Blåsenhus houses research and education in pedagogy, didactics, educational studies and psychology. Here, students are trained as teachers, psychologists and human resources specialists. Blåsenhus also includes the Blåsenhus Library, The Experimental Classroom and Uppsala Child and Baby Lab.

BMC – Uppsala Biomedical Centre
Uppsala Biomedical Centre (BMC) is one of Europe’s largest centres for life sciences, with research and education in biology, pharmacy, chemistry, medicine and dietetics. At BMC students receive basic education and training in disciplines such as pharmacy, medicine and biotechnology.

Campus Gotland
Campus Gotland in Visby offers education in the humanities, law, science and technology, social sciences, languages, theology and educational science. This campus was created when Gotland University College and Uppsala University joined forces in 2013.

EBC – Evolutionary Biology Centre
EBC provides research and education in biology and evolutionary processes at all levels, and research in physiology, developmental biology and environmental toxicology. This is also where you will find the Museum of Evolution with botany, zoology and palaeontology.

Ekonomikum
Ekonomikum houses research and education in economics and social sciences, offering subjects such as economics, economic history, business studies, trade law, informatics and media, social and economic geography, and statistics.

English Park Campus

The English Park Campus provides research and education in a broad range of subjects in the humanities and social sciences. Here you will also find the Humanities Theatre, Hugo Valentin Centre and the Karin Boye Library.

Gamla Torget Campus

Gamla Torget Campus includes the buildings at Gamla torget (meaning ‘Old square’), but also Oxenstiernska, Skytteanum, Munken and the Dag Hammarskjöld and Law Library. These geographically spread out buildings house research and education in law, political science, housing and urban research, and peace and conflict research.

Geo Centre
The Geo Centre offers education and research in earth sciences – ranging from igneous rocks and volcanoes to earthquakes, climate and the storage of carbon dioxide.

The Rudbeck Laboratory is a research laboratory for immunology, cancer, genetic disorders, diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease. This includes research on medical genetics, tumour biology, medical radiation science, clinical pathology, clinical immunology, oncology and molecular geriatrics.

Uppsala University conducts extensive education and research in medicine at Uppsala University Hospital. This is where physicians, biomedical analysts, speech therapists, physiotherapists and nurses receive some of their education and training.

Ångström Laboratory

The Ångström Laboratory provides education for natural scientists and engineers, and is home to research in physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering, materials and energy. Here you will also find Scandinavia’s largest cleanroom. The building complex was recently expanded with the futuristic building 10.

Historic buildings and settings

Uppsala is a town rich in historic cultural settings. Many of them relate to Uppsala University. The venerable buildings of the University are still in use today for teaching and as workplaces.
