About the course
The objective of the course is to use ethnography as a method to work with pluralism, multiculturalism and integration in practical and applied contexts. The course will provide tools for working with multiculturalism in state organisations, municipalities and NGOs to address issues of how to discover and address various forms of discrimination. The interface of multiculturalism and gender will be highlighted. While examples will be mainly drawn from present-day Sweden, examples from other countries will be used to deepen the comparative understanding of multiculturalism.
