Outline for distance course: The course is IT-based and taught via the university’s learning platform Studium and the video platform Zoom. The student needs access to a computer with speakers, microphone, and broadband connection to follow the course.

About the course
The course provides a classification and description of the modern Turkic languages. In addition, an introduction is given about the culture and religion of the Turkic-speaking group as well as the current political situation in the countries and areas where Turkic languages are spoken. The course also includes training in generic skills such as presenting and critically discussing scientific topics.
