Implementation of an EU-harmonised telephone number for victims of violence in Sweden
The Government has assigned the National Centre for Knowledge on Men's Violence Against Women the task of implementing an EU-harmonised telephone number for individuals who have been subjected to gender-based violence. An EU-harmonised telephone number means that individuals who have experienced men's violence against women, intimate partner violence, and honor-based violence and oppression can reach a support helpline using the same phone number, regardless of which EU member state they are in.

National support function for honour-based violence and oppression
In 2024, NCK is working on behalf of the National Centre against Honour-based Violence and Oppression (NCH) to establish a special national function where individuals who are exposed or at risk of being exposed to honour-based violence and oppression and their relatives can turn to for advice and guidance at a general level. The support function is regulated in the Ordinance on the National Centre against Honour-based violence and Oppression (SFS 2022:1345).
