Collaboration at the Department of Electrical Engineering
We take a firm grip of the societal benefits of technology and welcome a broad collaboration with the surrounding community.
From research to societal benefits
Our main goal is to conduct research that benefits society and with it we meet a wide range of current challenges such as the green transition and future energy supply, Alzheimer's disease, chronic pain, better prosthetics and implants, natural disasters, wireless communications and so on.
We have many years experience of conducting research from idea to finished products on the market. This is reflected in our successful collaborations with the industry and in our successful spin-off companies.
Collaboration within science and technology
We are a part of the Faculty of Science and Technology, which fosters several strategic collaboration projects with the public, industry and society.
The faculty collaborates within education and business with organisations in society. They also coordinate events: Open House at the Ångström Laboratory, open lectures for the public, study visits to the department and the annual science festival SciFest where our researchers participate.
