International Politics
Most important contemporary political issues have an international dimension, and the Department seminar series on international politics is a dynamic and diverse arena both in relation to topics and methodological approaches.
Within the seminar of International Politics at the Department of Government, we define international politics broadly and incorporate everything from transborder phenomena like climate change, the policymaking of international institutions and organizations like the United Nations, and cross-country comparative analyses of political processes, conflicts, and social movements.
The seminar meets regularly and discusses ongoing research from faculty and Ph D candidates, as well as visiting researchers and invited guests. During the last years, the latter have included participants from other Universities in Sweden, Colombia, Finland, Germany Hong Kong, China, United Kingdom and the USA.
