Daniel Molin – Clinical and translational research in lymphoma, especially Hodgkin lymphoma

Our research focuses primarily on lymphoma, particularly Hodgkin lymphoma. The overall aim of our work is to improve both outcomes and quality of life for patients.

We study treatment effects and adverse events in routine clinical practice (epidemiology) and work to identify early prognostic markers for both treatment outcomes and toxicity using genetic analyses, proteomics, and PET/CT.

We also evaluate new treatment approaches, such as proton therapy, within the framework of our investigator-initiated clinical trial PRO-Hodgkin. In addition, we participate in studies of other methods aimed at reducing late adverse effects following lymphoma treatment, for example a study on physical exercise (LYMfit).

Using proteomics and various methods to characterise the tumour microenvironment, we also investigate the biology of Hodgkin lymphoma, in particular its relationship with inflammation.

Finally, my research group and I are actively engaged in international clinical trials in lymphoma, with the aim of contributing to future treatment strategies.
