CyberRiskLab is now open!

The CyberRiskLab opened today in the Ångström building, welcoming its first visitors to an interdisciplinary environment for shared learning about cyber risks and digital strategies.

The lab is an open platform where visitors can explore how digital risks affect both individuals and society.

The CyberRiskLab will offer workshops, seminars, and interactive activities that create space for discussion, reflection, and hands‑on exploration. The ambition is to learn together and from one another—regardless of background or experience.

As its first activity, the lab hosted the exhibition “The Glass Room – Misinformation Edition,” created by the Berlin-based NGO Tactical Tech. The exhibition illustrates how misinformation emerges, why it is shared, and how it spreads, giving visitors the opportunity to delve into the mechanisms that shape our digital age.

During the opening, visitors could attend presentations, explore the exhibition, engage in conversations with the lab’s staff—and take the chance to reclaim a bit of digital autonomy over a sandwich and a cup of coffee.

The team behind the CyberRiskLab welcomed visitors to the opening and the launch of its first exhibition on disinformation and digital risks. In the photo, from the left to the right you see Andreas Lindner, Anke Stüber, Björn Victor and Christian Rohner.

An open arena for diverse audiences

With today’s opening, CyberRiskLab takes its first step toward becoming a recurring meeting place for anyone who wants to understand and discuss cyber risks in a more accessible way. In the coming weeks, the exhibition will remain open, and work to develop new activities, collaborations, and learning formats is already underway.

As part of this effort, CyberRiskLab invites everyone next week (week 6) to watch and discuss a talk on cybersecurity. A list of talks will be prepared, and participants will be able to vote for the one that interests them the most. The activity is open to all – and popcorn is promised. Suggestions for talks and , but not too technical security talks, are welcomed.

Time: 5 February at 12:00–13:30
Place: Ångström Laboratory, room 106285
Who: Open to everyone, no registration required. Feel free to bring a friend.

The lab targets a broad audience – ranging from school students and university students to researchers, professionals, decision-makers, and the general public – and looks forward to welcoming many more visitors in the future.
