Name Tags and Lunch Tickets: Name tags are found outside the main lecture hall, room 101195 from 12 on Tuesday January 14. Lunch tickets (for Wednesday and Thursday) are also distributed there. The registration desk is open before lunch on Wednesday and Thursday.

 

Book Lottery: Springer has generously donated over 20 books. They are on display outside the main lecture hall. You will be invited to join a book lottery for a few titles of your choice. Come and check out what books are available!

 

Comsol Multiphysics Display: Outside the main lecture hall Comsol will display their products.

Scope

The scope of BIT includes theoretical, computational and applied aspects of solving deterministic and stochastic PDE and ODE, numerical linear algebra, approximation, and the newly added theme numerical mathematics for data driven methodologies. These will also be the themes for the conference.

Invited speakers

Important information

In addition to the presentations by invited speakers, there will be contributed talks and poster sessions. In the registration form, you will be asked if you would like to give an oral presentation or present a poster. Please complete the form. To encourage broad participation, there will be no conference fee, but registration is required.

Please, note: If you register for the conference but do not show up, a fee of 1000 SEK will be charged from you to cover the cost of the conference dinner and lunches. The last day to cancel your registration is January 7, 2025.

The conference starts on Tuesday January 14, 2025 at 13:00 and ends on Thursday January 16 at 13:30 after lunch.

Special session

We are happy to announce a special session to celebrate Professor Åke Björck, who turns 90 in December 2024. Åke has contributed greatly to BIT as associate editor and as editor-in-chief (1993-2002), in addition to being author and reviewer of many BIT papers. If you want to be part of this special session, please check the appropriate box when you register.
