Clinical Trial Methodology
Clinical trial methodology is a highly topical field of science with great need for pharmaceutical expertise. This course gives you up-to-date insights into the planning, design and execution of studies regarding safety and efficacy of potential drugs. Our lecturers constitute a well-composed mix of frontline researchers and experts at contract research companies and authorities.

Every new drug must go through a series of clinical trials before it is approved for healthcare. These studies are meticulously regulated with absolute regard for the rights, well-being and safety of trialsubjects. The operation requires a range of different skills, and at the companies and organizations that engage in clinical drug trials, many employees have a pharmaceutical background.
During the study, the drug's desired and unwanted effects are mapped. The work is often conducted in collaboration between the creator of the substance, healthcare and specialized contract research companies. In the course Clinical Trial Methodology, you get a comprehensive and inspiring insight into a profession with an increasingly important role in moving pharmaceutical research forward.
In order to offer as wide-ranging and up-to-date content as possible, we give the course in close interaction with Uppsala University's research environments in PKPD and Pharmacometrics, the Swedish Medical Products Agency and a selection of regional companies that conduct clinical trials. Welcome to explore an exciting science while building new networks with your future employers.
