Lindon Moodie, Anne-Lie Svensson and Anders Sundqvist win the Study Council Awards 2025

The Faculty congratulates Lindon Moodie, Anne-Lie Svensson and Anders Sundqvist on winning the Study Council Awards 2025. “To get the students' appreciation means a lot and makes me so grateful and proud that it almost brings a tear to my eye,” says Anders Sundqvist, who receives the Award for Student Treatment.
The Pharmaceutical Study Council Pedagogical Award is presented to Lindon Moodie, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, for how he "with exceptional patience and a friendly attitude creates inspiring and supportive learning environments where every student is comfortable asking questions" and with his “teaching skills and dedication contributes to making every course a positive and enriching experience”.

Pedagogical Award winners 2025
“To receive the Study Council Pedagogical Award was quite the honorable surprise. Initially, many students dont find organic chemistry so straight forward, so teaching at our Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry course and experience the students engage, learn and ultimately deliver is really rewarding,” says Lindon Moodie, who leads the course together with Professor Luke Odell and a number of PhD students.
Anne-Lie Svensson, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences, receives the Study Council Award for Student influence. The motivation emphasizes that Anne-Lie “always shows genuine interest in student opinions and great commitment to the students’ perspectives, which reflects her invaluable attentiveness to the students’ best interest”.
“As a teacher, I always strive to take part in the students’ thoughts and opinions, which are important tools to adapt and develop the learning situation as far as possible. Of course, this is part of our pedagogical task, but to receive the students’ appreciation means very much, and this award makes me both happy and moved,” says Anne-Lie Svensson.

The Study Council Award for Student Treatment is presented to Anders Sundqvist, Lecturer at the Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences. Anders receives the award because of how he “explains in a simple and pedagogical way, makes an effort to ensure that the students really understand the answers he gives and shows extra dedication with his presence at study halls where he receives praise for his more than accommodating attitude towards the students”.
“Among the best things about teaching is when you find ways to explain complex contexts so that students suddenly get the big picture and can relate to why this is important knowledge. Needless to say, receiving the Study Council Award for Student Treatment means a lot to me and makes me so grateful and proud that it almost brings a tear to my eye,” says Anders Sundqvist
The Pharmaceutical Study Council Pedagogical Awards are awarded annually with the aim to “recognize individuals or groups at the Faculty of Pharmacy who have made outstanding contributions in the categories of Pedagogical skills, Student Influence and Student Treatment”.
“This year's Pedagogical award winners definitely deserve their prizes. Both Lindon, Anne-Lie and Anders show impressive commitment and attentiveness towards their students, which in turn contributes to learning environments that arouse students' interest and inspire them to embrace knowledge. All three simply always give that little extra, and I was really happy to learn that they had received the Study Council Awards,” states Anja Sandström, Deputy Dean for first and second cycle education.
