Per Andrén is awarded the Thuréus Prize 2024

Per Andren Thureus priset

The Faculty of Pharmacy congratulates Per Andrén, Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences, on being awarded The Royal Society of Sciences at Uppsala’s Thuréus Prize 2024. Per Andrén received the prize on Tuesday 3 September and gave a lecture at the award ceremony.

The Royal Society of Sciences at Uppsala has awarded the Thuréus prize 2024 to Per Andrén, Professor of Mass Spectrometry Imaging. Per Andrén receives the prize for his "significant efforts in visualization and quantification of drugs, metabolites, signaling substances, neuropeptides and proteins".

The Thuréus Prizes derive from a donation from the deceased doctor and Uppsala alumnus Sven Thuréus, through the establishment of the Lilly and Sven Thuréus Foundation for Nature and Culture.
