Sustainability according to the Faculty of Pharmacy

We all agree that sustainability is essential for our future. But what does it actually mean? We asked researchers and teachers at our Faculty of Pharmacy and received a wide range of interesting perspectives. Join us at Uppsala University’s Biomedical Center and Linnaean Gardens, where work toward a greener, healthier, and more sustainable world continues every day.

Fact

  • Uppsala University aspires to a leading role in the transition to a more sustainable society. The education and research we conduct translate into new knowledge, better technology, improvements in the organisation of society and changed patterns of behaviour.
  • The University will also contribute to sustainable development in its own activities. This requires us to set an example in the management of finite resources and to actively address the climate impact of our own activities.
  • The above lines are taken from Uppsala University's Mission and Core Values and constitute guidelines for our Faculty of Pharmacy's research and education.
