From Dr. Google to Dr. Bot - what happens when generative AI enters healthcare?

Generative AI (GenAI) is rapidly entering healthcare practice, yet consensus on how to implement it safely and effectively remains fragmented.

This conference “From Dr. Google to Dr. Bot” will unite leading experts across Sweden and the Nordic region to advance evidence-informed strategies for the safe integration of GenAI in healthcare. The programme will focus on clinical and patient use of GenAI, with core themes including patient safety, documentation quality and error propagation, responsibility and accountability, human-AI interaction, and organisational and ethical implications of GenAI adoption.

The conference will adopt an interdisciplinary scientific approach, bringing together perspectives from digital health, implementation science, artificial intelligence, human factors, and ethics. It will combine keynote lectures, moderated panels, and interactive workshops to facilitate knowledge exchange, critical discussion, and collaborative problem-solving. Sessions will be structured to promote dialogue across disciplines and sectors.

The target audience includes researchers, healthcare professionals, regional digital leaders, patient representatives, policymakers, and industry partners. By convening diverse stakeholders and focusing on shared challenges, the conference aims to strengthen the scientific and practical foundations for the safe, effective, and equitable use of GenAI in healthcare.
